Hello LoTriTham, What you have just described above is one of the result from a recent changed in the system. This new changed in the system is a way that cxq trying to crack down the usage of human using sw playing against human players. One of the way that the system detect sw players is the extensive usage of your mouse outside of the current chess board. If you focus on playing your game and not being disturbing by any other sw or program you should not experience this problem. Please tell us if you do. I hope that give you an idea what had happened to your mouse (disable). |

Then again I do have MSN Chat on with friend while I play chess and some time they message me while i play as well... What you saying is that I can not leave the game window while I play is that it? |

Well, it's difficult to have a perfect record even if you have sw, unless you cheat otherwise. Anyway what I am saying is that, the server track how many or how often you leave your game window. Once it's determined that it is exceed the server limits it will disable you mouse. Again, obseve the popup, that recommends you to pay attention to your game. |

unfair, I usually do manything when i playing chess. And I never use SW. I Think sever can use a programe to detect what player see when leave CXQ window. If other programe is not chinese chess programe ---> OK. Some SW can be easily to detect by a programe like spy when check what programe running on PC.

Hi TQT, the disabled mouse sure helps but you could guys possibly do more?
There is this software user in CXQ whose nickname is qq_qq; he moves VERY VERY fast. He can move 30 moves without losing 1 second. I don't think he's able to change windows to follow software's moves if he moves that fast so he must have logged into the server with the software and let it play for him, assumingly. I don't think disabled mouse would be able to stop that since he could easily place his mouse in the game window. Is there any way you guys could disable users logging in with their software? I think that, along with the disabled mouse would cut down on the number of software players. I'm not sure whether you guys have done that already or not, just a thought. |

Hello Batto, What I have been told is that, there are only so much we could do with JAVA APPLET. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not think that current version of JAVA have the ability to know what softwares or programs that users are logging in with. I am totally agreed with you and many others that this new method have cause many problem to your daily games. However, please understand that we are only trying to prevent you and CXQ players from losing to those who are using SW. Perhaps, there are many improvements need to be made. I am sure the webmaster are well aware of that and he is working on a better solution. Again this is the first step to promote and attract more chinese chess lovers and real chinese chess masters to play at CXQ without having to worry about losing to someone that is using SW. If you have any concerns regarding the content of this post, feel free to post it here. Hopefully, we will soon find better a solution that solve this SW problems. Until then take care, TQT |

Chao,
It is possible for a program to login to CXQ. Robo logs in to CXQ this way. It is not about java applet, it's about logging in to the server and transmitting data. The graphical user interface is for users who need to look at the board and then make the move. The move is then transmitted as data to server and the return move made by the other guy meant that data is received and displayed on the board as piece moved. There are many ports to login to CXQ, those are possible ports for programs to log in to. You can see it when you just log in. It'll show "connecting to port....". The java applet will not know if it is human or program logging in. As long as you have identified yourself with a username and password supplied, you can connect to the ports and start playing. To prevent such programs from logging on to CXQ, ports will have to be blocked... but it is just not practical to do so. -------------------- |
